PetSmart was officially opened on 5th January following a ribbon-cutting event and is located at 320 Taunton Road. E. in North Whitby. This new store is actually a relocation after bosses at PetSmart saw that there was a great demand for products related to the care of pets within the town. This new store has an area of 7,000 square foot and stocks everything that animal owners need and more.
PetSmart believes that Whitby is a town full of pet lovers and they are set to deliver everything that those dedicated to their animals need, including goods and services. The new store will include a grooming station, where dog owners can take their animals to have them preened to perfection. There will also be pet training services, showing owners how to improve the behaviour of their pet and there will also be an adoption centre. The adoption centre is an idea that comes directly from the Canadian arm of PetSmart and it will see local animal charities invited into the store to try and secure forever homes for pets that need them. This has proved to be extremely popular, indeed up to November 2018, the previous store in Whitby had helped to secure over 100 adoptions. PetSmart as a company is responsible for helping to facilitate more than 260,000 adoptions worldwide. It is great to know that they are looking after those pets who need it.
Pet food is another major offering from PetSmart, who strongly believe that we should be offering our much-loved animals food which is optimised for them nutritionally. The store will have a Pinnacle Pet Nutrition section, which will focus on selling food with high-protein levels that is natural and grain-free. Much of the food will have gone through minimum processing procedures and much of the food on the shelves will be raw, a new trend in pet food designed to be kinder to the stomachs of our beloved animals. Brands included in this section will be Only Natural Pet who specialise in natural food based on a paleo diet and Instinct who produce natural, frozen food for dogs. It seems that Petsmart has everything that our animal friends need and more. They certainly have your pet's interests at heart.
