The company is already a major supplier of sofas to the majority of the UK's leading furniture retailers. They currently manufacture four different prestigious brands of sofas; G Plan, Duresta, The Lounge Co. and Parker Knoll. It is expected that sofas from all of these ranges will be available at reduced prices in the new furniture factory outlet. Sofa Brands International have their headquarters based in Wiltshire but are already known in the Long Eaton area as their manufacturing plant for the Duresta range is already based nearby.
Their finance director Ciaran McMahon has stated that the company viewed the new furniture factory outlet in Long Eaton as a further opportunity to drive up their sales in the region and thereby help to strengthen their place in both the national and international markets.
The purchase of the property for the new Sofa Brands International furniture factory outlet, which is located in a prime roadside position on Tamworth Road which leads directly into the centre of Long Eaton, has been completed on a leasehold basis and was processed by the real estate agency Commercial Partners Property.
One of their partners, Sean Bremner, has expressed his delight that the sale to Sofa Brands International had been successfully completed and gave credit to the strength of their offer for the property. He stated that there had been considerable interest in purchasing the leasehold due to the excellent location of the 3,000 sq. feet property but that Sofa Brands International had shown their commitment to the area by their offer and the willingness to undertake the processing of their planning application.
