In 2012, the American, Liz Ormesher Salcedo, organised fundraising on the Kickstarter platform, to sell Everpurse. Having collected more than 200 000 dollars, this former social worker was able to launch production and sales of this handbag, combining style and innovation. This clutch hides a battery charger compatible with iPhones 4/4S, 5/5S/5C and Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4. To charge, all you need to do is slide your smartphone into the inside pocket of the bag, which is available in leather or fabric. Telephone battery recharging is started, using a wireless system that can completely recharge an empty battery twice. However, it is necessary to regularly place the bag on a recharging base, before going out for the day.
Other brands have entered the fray, by offering more or less similar models, adapted to their leather goods brands. This is the case for the Handbag Butler company, known for its bag holder jewellery (Purse Hanger), that you can hang anywhere. Unlike Everpurse, the Mighty Purse contains a cable that needs to be connected to start recharging. Whilst it is compatible with all devices (GPS, telephones, tablet computers), an adapter is required for iPhones.
