Matalan Direct is the online-only branch of Matalan, the fashion and home furniture retailer. To complete its offer and as they promised, the company launched an online store in July this year, starting with a brand new range of bathroom equipment and accessories, from showers to toilets and taps to mirrors. As Matalan Direct Chief Executive Shane Quigley explains, the retailer has an avowed aim: "Following the success of our existing bathrooms range, beds and bedroom furniture is the first of many categories that the business will be on boarding over the coming months. The ultimate goal for Matalan Direct is to be able to offer everything you need to complete your home with just the click of a button."
Indeed, Matalan Direct intends to become a very strong player on this particular market over the next year, facing competitors such as Ikea or Homebase. Until then, the online bedroom range is quite complete with all kinds of beds (children, single, king size, cabin,...), various mattresses, drawers, wardrobes, ottoman storage chests, dressing and bedside tables as well as bedroom mirrors. Note that all products offer Matalan-value price points.
