Located at 41 New Bond Street, Loewe will offer a contemporary, luxury shop environment to match their luxury clothing, bags and leather accessories. Using a store concept they have previously successfully introduced in other major cities, the new outlet in London will continue to showcase the company’s appreciation for contemporary craft and art which creative director Jonathan Anderson believes fits so well with fashion.
The Loewe outlet in Bond Street will feature designs and features already successfully employed in their stores in Madrid and Tokyo. The luxury brand will house their products amid contemporary works of art, including sculptures and photographs. Combined with furniture of historical significance to the brand, the Loewe store will offer its London customers a luxury environment as they find the luxury branded products mingling with what is tantamount to a museum quality collection of art and furniture. The store front will consist of large windows with a pop-up space offered in an open area located by the entrance.
The Spanish luxury fashion brand Loewe was established in 1846. Their main product range focusses on luxury bags for both men and women, but they also offer clothing, shoes, jewellery, sunglasses, fragrances and small leather goods. They have a presence in 28 countries, which includes an outlet in the UK based at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire. The new shop at Bond Street will be Loewe’s flagship store, adding to their current London presence in Harrods and Selfridges. New Bond Street is seen as a leading luxury shopping street, with a number of high-end retail names already located there.
Loewe currently has a boutique located in Mount Street in London, but this is set to close when the flagship store opens in Bond Street. With marble and granite interiors, flooded by natural light from large store front windows, Loewe are going all-out for a luxury customer experience. The annual Loewe Foundation Craft Prize emphasises the brand’s devotion to contemporary art, and the inclusion of such high quality art and craftwork to the store design and layout can only boost the feeling of luxury.
