Situated at 192 Piccadilly, London, the shop offers festive gin baubles, gin stockings, and all manner of other gin related Christmas goodies, as well as bottles and bottles of everyone’s favourite tipple.
Sipsmith started life in 2009, as the first London based copper-pot distillery for nearly 200 years, and is one of just four distilleries still licenced in the city. The company was the brainchild of Sam Galsworthy and Fairfax Hall, both with many years’ experience in the brewing and distilling industries. Having acquired the services of publisher/historian Jared Brown, who has refined various spirits in the US, Sweden, Norway and Vietnam over the years, as their Master Distiller, the business was ready to go.
The first spirits produced by the distillery were a London Dry Gin and a barley based vodka. So popular were these limited editions that in 2010, the company was presented with the Observer Food Monthly Award for Best Newcomer. With new products being released regularly over the next six years, the business was acquired by Japanese food and drinks giant Beam Suntory in 2016, and continues artisan production of its unique gins and vodkas today.
Whether you are an avid gin drinker, or just have an interest in artisan beer, wine and spirit making, the Sipsmith gift shop in Piccadilly, London, will have something for everyone this Christmas.
Shelves are already overflowing with gins of all types, flavours, and limited editions for the collector. Books on gin, and publications on cocktail making and anything to do with alcohol are on sale. You can get a gin enthusiast’s Christmas stocking, or a G&T Christmas stocking, or make up your own stocking, with the love of your life’s gin favourites. All are available with a personalised monogram to provide that extra special touch. The store also offers a gift wrapping service.
If you want to be the hottest host/hostess of the Christmas party circuit, the Sipsmith Christmas gift shop in London also offers evening masterclasses in how to present the perfect gin, and how to make the best gin cocktails.
