The Cambridge Satchel Company is not that old. It's 7, the perfect age for a satchel. Long story short, Julie and her mother launched this company in 2008 to generate money for her children's school fees. Creating handmade, enduring and strong satchels was actually a clever idea. What Julie may not have expected is that fashion got its hands on it too. The Cambridge Satchel became an it-accessory (Taylor Swift owns a burgundy handbag), and the range expanded from just satchels to backpacks, tiny satchels, handbags and various leather goods.
Today, Julie's son Max proudly poses for the brand new Men's collection. He's not alone, a few guys from Julie's team are presenting their favourite bag to along with what's in it, which is quite nice. This store dedicated to men is special: it's the very first Cambridge Satchel store. Located in London's Seven Dials, the 1,000 square foot space has been completely remodelled to offer a very male atmosphere (yet women are welcome too). The autumn/winter 2015 collection is available, as well as unisex classics and seasonal editions. The concept store is open from Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday afternoon from midday to 6pm.
