Amazon launched its Grocery Store five years ago in the UK. Earlier this year, Amazon Prime customers were the first to try the one-hour delivery service for fresh and frozen products in London and Birmingham, Amazon Fresh grocery delivery service was tested this fall and a same-day shipping option was added last November. That's a lot of possibilities, now completed with Amazon Pantry, launched a few day ago.
To benefit from this newly-introduced service, you'll need to be registered as a Prime subscriber. Then you'll be able to fill your Pantry box with some of the 4,000+ items available in the range of grocery, whether it's detergent, toothbrush, nappies, pet food, beers or beans, as long as the products don't need to stay fresh or frozen. Once your box is full (it can carry up to 20kg) and if you haven't finished your shopping, another one starts automatically.
A clever option in this service is the Themed Boxes shopping lists, already filled with all the goods for, say, a week-end away, a baby, your morning routine or school supplies. “Amazon Pantry has been designed to take the heavy lifting out of replenishing the often bulky basics and store cupboard essentials that people need every day. We’re always looking to innovate on behalf of our customers and find ways to save them time and money. We think they will love the broad selection, quick delivery and low prices of Amazon Pantry” said Amazon Pantry UK manager Helene Parthenay.
The first box costs £2.99 then each additional box in the same order costs £0,99. The box is then delivered to your doorstep the day after you placed your order.
