After Isabel Marant in 2013, it's the turn of New York designer, Alexander Wang, to sign an exclusive collection for H&M. As every year for the last 10 years, the Swedish company has called on a well-known stylist to create a capsule collection, sold the following November.
For Fashion Week, a first outfit worn by the singer, Rihanna, included grey shorts and bra showing the designer's initials and surname. Alexander Wang also revealed a photo of the future sportswear collection on his Twitter page.
In an exclusive document for Style.com magazine, the designer explains that he "wanted to create a collection where most of the pieces have been designed from scratch". Likewise, fashionistas shouldn't expect to find "affordable versions of expensive items" from his previous collections, but very much exclusive items.
The men's and women's collections will include shoes, bags and also "Objects". According to H&M management, reported in Style.com, these everyday objects are "reflective of the Alexander Wang lifestyle, infused with a sense of humor and irony".
