In 1998, a traditional English pub with an Indian-Bangladeshi restaurant was a new and intriguing idea. Previously, it seemed that never the twain would meet. Then new owners rebranded the Vic, Jalsa Ghar Restaurant & Queen Victoria free house'; the first meaning 'House of Entertainment' in Bengali, a great description endorsed by happy local customers.
The vision of creating an exotic restaurant delivering high quality cuisine, with attention to culinary detail, most successful. Unique dishes prepared with fine ingredients including fresh natural spices and with low cholesterol sunflower oil and the minimum of food colouring, we don't only make dishes delicious but we realise the importance of being heath concious.
The Qneen Vic serves excellent traditional hand pulled beers as well as lagers and guest beers.. Through Monday - Thursday bar customers enjoy good discounts on draught beers and lagers plus frequent promotions on other popular beverages, making it one of the best value local pubs.
